Oops, I mean, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.” Psalm 42:1
Last night I was out riding my bicycle after dinner on the country roads of our county.
It was near dusk when the deer come out and graze on whatever they can find.
The temperature was near 90 degrees and I saw a doe standing in a field of young soy beans.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that doe was panting.
I sure was as I pedaled by on my trek.
So, the deer I saw was not near a brook, nor was I, but panting nevertheless.
I pray that you and I will pant (or ernestly yearn for) God daily.
I pray that we will find our satisfaction in Him.
I pray that we will be refreshed as we thirst for God.
