I saw these guys last year while in Washington, NC.
I thought it funny that they were all facing the same direction, at the same time.
Of course they were facing the water so they would be able to see when some tender morsel of something edible went their way (fish, frog, bread crust).
This was about as close as I could get before they all flew off.
I thought of conformity and conforming when I saw this.
How about you and me? Are we conforming to (in step with) the world around us or are we willing to be different and maybe do something a bit different?
I thought of Romans 12:2 which says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Sometimes we fall lock step in with what everyone else is doing. I suggest that we stop and think about it, and be brave enough to be a non-conformist!
