Camden Point Bike Ride!

This morning I took a ride with the bicycle club down to the southern tip of our county – where the Albemarle Sound and the Pasquotank River meet.

Past soy bean and corn fields we went, past old houses, church buildings and farms.

To a remote area where ‘crabbers’ reign supreme, dragon flies and turtles and swamp lands are widespread.

Straight line only 10 miles from the ocean, but by car 60 miles or so.

Some of the best waters for crabbing are here, crabs going to restaurants far and wide from these humble shores.

Was a refreshing bike ride indeed.
40 miles later this rider is now sitting in air conditioned comfort cooling off!
