Here Today, Gone Tomorrow!

We like to think that we have it pretty well together. You know, we’re smart, clever, good looking and all that.

There’s one problem however, we are like the grass – here today and gone tomorrow.

This photo is of some pampas grass. Looks pretty good doesn’t it?
Now yes, but in 3 or 4 months it will probably be pretty wilted looking after a few good frosts.

1 Peter 1: 24, 25 says this, “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.”

We are just like the grass – here today and for a few days, but gone tomorrow or in a few months.

Thankfully though, God’s Word will last, won’t melt away, freeze up or blow away in a storm.

You ought to find a good place to start reading it, and jump in!
