This is a cypress tree near Columbia, NC.
Pretty amazing root system isn’t it??

I took this on the way back from a photo safari last year.
The tree is well rooted, sturdy and still growin’!

It reminded me of Colossians 2:7 which says that we should be, ‘rooted and grounded’ in Christ.

If we are rooted and grounded in Christ, several things will take place:
– Our spirits will be nourished by Him.
– He will help us remain stable when winds or rains of difficulty come against us.
– He will protect us so that we do not ‘blow’ over when we are faced with teachings or philosophies that are anti-God.

Thank God for our strong roots, and our strong God! We are secure in Him!
