Which fruit is that you may ask? Apple? – No…
Pomegranate? – Yes!
It takes some effort to get to the fruit, but the work is well worth it.
The seeds look like red kernels of corn – and are sweet and tasty. Try some.
What do you mean by a fruit of biblical proportion?
Well there are over 20 references to pomegranates in the Bible.
Here’s one of them –
“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey”. Deuteronomy 8:7,8 (NKJV)
This verse is part of a massive promise that God gave to Moses and the people of Israel before they went into the Land of Promise.
As a matter of fact, when Moses sent in spies to check out the land, they brought back huge clusters of grapes hanging from a pole, and also pomegranate to show what was growing there.
