Rose On Tuesday
Same Rose On Wednesday
What kind of rose you may ask? Try a ‘Double Knock Out Rose’. My wife’s Mother’s Day present from me. According to the local plant store I purchased it from, they are supposed to be disease and bug resistant. So far so good.
As I was looking at this rose, the poet in me was reminded of a bit of verse I read and studied many moons ago in my youth. Here goes…
From the play, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by William Shakespeare:
“What’s in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet;”
The implication is that what matters is what something really is rather than what it is called.
