Oregon Inlet Fishing Center – OBX – Dream Boats

I have been out 4 or 5 times on charter boats from the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. The location is just north of the Oregon Inlet bridge, and less than 10 miles south of Nags Head, NC on Route 12.

I had the time of my life catching everything from Mahi Mahi (fish dolphin), Yellow Fin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, to a White Marlin. You leave on a charter boat about 5:30 a.m. and get back to the marina around 4:30 p.m. The boats often head out to the Gulf Stream, which is 20 – 25 miles off the coast. It takes roughly 2 hours to get out there and 2 hours to get back. The captain and first mate on the charter boats are top notch and will get you right to where the fishing action is. Here are a few photos of the charter boats. Enjoy!
