Wheat Growing Golden

It has been growing since November. During the winter it stayed short and green. Since late March it has grown and grown. The heads popped out in the last month. Now the fields are gradually turning a golden brown. Such a beautiful sight in the early evening. Tonight on my bicycle ride I passed by field after field of mature wheat, golden and ready to be harvested. After it has been taken up, the farmers will often immediately plant soy beans in the same fields. It will be ready for harvest this fall.
